Baking

You didn’t grease the tin. Not a major error.

The scones will still be nice.

Of course I greased the tin

You didn’t grease it properly. Otherwise it wouldn’t have stuck.

I use tin liners is that cheating?

They look good. Made 2 loaves of banana bread earlier. It is lovely tack.

Banana bread is great tack alright, with a thick coating of real butter it’s hard beat.

I’ll be doing a lemon drizzle tomorrow morning.

Now you’re talking. Lemon drizzle is hard bet.

It’s looks rotten and I hope you choke on it. You bastard.

I baked a dozen blaas there earlier. They were lovely. Slightly more doughie than the real thing but still beautiful. The leftovers are gone into the freezer. I’ll have them for the breakfast during the week.

Would you have to take them out the night before to defrost or would you throw em in the toaster or something

Sourdough blaas?

Here’s one of the lemon drizzle cakes, this one is iced with grated chocolate on top.

No not sourdough blaas.

The cake looks lovely.

No I’ll pop them straight in the oven from frozen.

My pineapple upside-down is divine. Recipe available if needed.

Have you ever tried adding some jalapeños to the mix?

No, and I add jalapenos to lots of things.
My banana bread has over ripe bananas, walnuts, vanilla extract and almond extract along with the obvious.
I might try that if you’re serious.

Yep, honest. It’s the sweet and spicy thang! Never added almonds to mine and always use 2 over ripened bananas. Have you ever made a banana pudding?

Sugar free Banana bread. Lovely with a big mug of tea.
