Where did we come down on reducing the monthly payment/overall length of mortgage? My thoughts would be that I’d prefer to reduce the payment amount as by the time I reach the end of my mortgage many decades from now it will have inflated away to nothing anyway.
The most fiscally prudent measure is to invest the money and not pay down the mortgage at all, but I’d definitely go for lower payments over a longer period
