Barcelona in Trouble

Messi should be ashemd of himself.

Messi isn’t a Barcelona player mate

He drained them for all they are worth.

Hopefully they go out of business, a horrible club.

Their cheating cost Arsene Wenger at least three European Cups. If only he were still in the game to capitalise on this.

Jelly and ice cream

They sound like computer generated names on Championship Manager.

Liverpool did a good deal selling on the debt from the Coutinho transfer to a third party. Twill be like trying to get money from Cassidy Concrete for creditors.

If Catalonia became an independent country what would happen FC Barcelona ???

Pique is a proper clubman after that gesture.

Gerard is one of the elder statesmen of the team and a fantastic clubman. Holder of underage medals at all ages and looking to win his first county senior medal on Sunday. Occupation: Fitter.

Luke de Jong signing tonight. What a sorry mess they are in.

Aguero signing is just silly.

Hopefully Fati and Pedri can lift them to former glories.

Could they not have got rid of anyone on bloated contracts, all the dead wood over say 27yrs old by hook or by crook, and took a few hits in the short term to their balance sheets if necessary? All so they could keep messi on the books and draw in all that merchandise money from him. Then build a new team from the famed youth academy, keep all their best youngsters who ergo would all be on less money than older dead wood types anyway. Yes they would have to spend a few years in the doldrums but this is certain to happen now anyway. Instead they’ve gone the other way, getting rid of Messi and all the best youth prospects while keeping the older supporting cast.

I think the likes of Pique and Busquets took big pay cuts and forgo-ed a good bit of salary due to them

Interestingly piques media company bought the rights to show the French league in Spain a few months back….

Between Griezemann, dembele and countinho they wasted nearly 350 million in the past few seasons.

A fella like me could tell this was terrible business.

Even signing aguero on a free and the swap deal for Pjanic was terrible business too.

Their wage bill went out of control as well.

The likes of Vidal and arda turan were on insane wages.

Between Frankie de jong, pedri and Fati they’ve three young attacking minded players who most clubs would want.

So there is some hope but koeman isn’t the man for the job.

Still more than a club etc etc. Gave themselves and Real officially backed down from the super league?

Eamon dunphy had a good podcast the other day with a Dermot corrigan lad chatting about Barcelona. He was saying Barcelona binning the Qatar sponsorship pissed them off and that’s why PSG went after neymar and then Messi.

It’s a decent listen.
