About that yeah. Lifted the lid few times so with more patience probably not needed that long.

Would do a much bigger chunk next time for same time as tip end dry but other, thicker end unreal

What weight was that and for how long did you smoke?

Haven’t a clue weight. Defrosting freezer over the weekend and found chunk in there. Reason opening lid so often was to stick thermometer in as only way to guage cooking time without knowing the weight

Soaked the wood in red wine. Put some ignitor fluid on them and in for about 1 hour only I’d say. Would have gone longer but didn’t expect it to be done when it was
