We have a genuine Lakeside classic on our hands here, folks.
What a fuckin save from Dekker. 158 to save his throw and level the set at 1-1
Dekker blows the chance to break, Norris steals it and is a leg away.
This is incredible stuff. You only get drama and quality like this at The Lakeside.
5-5
2-2

Darts, bloody hell!
Very nervy leg this.
Nobody deserves to lose this.
Fucking hell, what a match
Chuck Norris
What a match
What a fucking match
Magnificent
Hard luck Jan Dekker:clap:
Chuck Norris is a beautiful person.
Unbelievable match.
Outstanding skill.
Incredible fitness.
Well played, Chuck and Jan.
Gotta love Chuck!
This is a very important point. Most people don’t realise the extreme difference between the fitness levels required for the BDO in contrast to PDC.
As far as I know the PDC champion will have to play 6 matches over a 20 day period. The BDO champion will have to play 5 matches over a 10 day period as well as having nearly 5 times less mid-match intervals than the PDC.
Absolutely devastated to have missed Friday and Saturday’s action. After reading through this thread it seems as if both were two of the great Lakeside days. I’m going to spend my afternoon watching the highlights of the four matches I missed, and if Liverpool’s match at Stoke has to take a back seat in terms of my attention, so be it. I’ve a lot of darts to catch up on over the next few hours before the final starts at 6:00.
Tony Green’s 36th world final this evening by the way - he’s only missed the one, in 2011, due to his cancer treatment, which thankfully was successful.
Stephen Bunting and Alan Norris are two worthy finalists. It promises to be an incredible final. I’ll be supporting “Chuck” but also wish the Bullet well ahead of the biggest occasion in darts.
Just watching the highlights of Wolfie-Double Dekker match now. The atmosphere when Wolfie got that 121 to win the fifth set and bring it back to 3-2 was something very special. The respect and affection the Lakeside crowd hold for the legendary England captain of two decades was obvious. A real folk hero for English darts fans. Tony Green’s commentary as Wolfie’s last dart hit the bull will live long in the memory.
Then Jan’s 126 to win the deciding leg of the sixth set. Absolutely nerveless, and that was the key shot in turning the match his way.
That penultimate leg where Wolfie hit madhouse was one of the most dramatic things I’ve ever seen in sport. Great camerawork from the BBC team as they brought the real human drama home perfectly to the viewer, juxtaposing Jan’s father’s reaction with the oche action. Of course Jan went on to win the next leg and the match but that moment taken alone was really memorable. Wolfie’s reaction at the end was one of a true champion.
Looking forward to the final later on.
Hopefully the laptop doesn’t explode due to streaming it and the 49ers game at the same time.
What’s the combined weight of Bunting & Norris? Must be the combined heaviest ever match up. Would have been heavier again if Kong had made it through.
Hard to look beyond Bunting. He’s been playing very well, has had a far less demanding schedule so could have an edge in fitness and freshness.

That fat hun cunt Andy Fordham was heavier than both of these combined.
