James McCarthy.
Been an ever present in that Dublin team since his debut in 2011. Has played in every minute of 8 winning All Ireland finals. Rarely has a bad game, he may not be spectacular like other players, but gets through a huge amount of work both defensively and coming out with the ball. His scores from half back early on killed teams, and he has brought an even bigger work rate to his midfield play. Its hard to say he drags this Dublin team over the line, considering their record, but he really does lift them when its needed and makes a huge play either defensively or attacking at critical moments in big games

Yep I recall two crucial points v Mayo in 2017 final which effectively won Dublin the game…one was a dainty curl off his right foot after marauding down the right wing …
