Is @Fagan_ODowd still around?
Don’t tell me he has resorted to posting under a different name.
He was on here a while back advocating Mandinka by Sinead O’Connor as one of the top Irish singles of all time. I was surprised with the call initially but then we talked it some more and we decided he was right.
Forget all that ould dirge posted above.
‘Any Tipperary town’ by Louise Morrissey is the best by a long shot.

Full show there mate. Unrale. Divine Comedy are tragically under-recognised.
Their (his) second album Promenade would have been my favourite Irish album for a long time. Then the sheer might of Heartworm took it over.
Parts of Cassanova are very good as well but then he seemed to chase the coin with the National Express and all that garbage.

The Foggy Dew, Sineid

Great call. I challenge anyone to name a better hard rock band made up of farmers’ sons from Fermanagh.
Hit the Diff - Marty Mone
The boys of Barr na Sraide - this is my favourite version
Canadian Geese - Damien Dempsey
