Added. Thanks.

Can we get this pulled together in time for Christmas?

Is anyone in charge?

Song = tune with WORDS.

Didn’t @Smark boldly claim to be in charge here a few weeks back?

“Down On Me” - Aslan.

A wonderful showcase for the amazing voice of Christy Dignam.

It’s a difficult one. Get any of the northern brethren on board and it will be all rebel songs, irrespective of merit. Anyone from the south and anything not a rebel song will be a free state conspiracy.
I’d ask tassoti but he’d hate them all and would put together a list of famous Morris dancing tunes.

I’ve always had a soft spot for summer In Dublin by bagatelle.

And I’ve always had a soft-spot for Galway Bay, but I wouldn’t let it within an asses roar of a best of

Some amount of shite posted up here.

Depends on which Galway Bay though. The song by the man from Kinvara is decent, especially as sung by Dolores Keane. The other shite popularized by Bing Crosby is another matter entirely.

“Oh, grey and bleak, by shore and creek,
The rugged rocks abound,
But sweet and green the grass between
As grows on Irish ground.
So friendship fond, all wealth beyond,
And love that lives always,
Bless each poor home beside your foam,
My dear old Galway Bay”

Bould Fenian Men - Peadar Kearney

I’d love to think that whoever was operating the music at Croke Park after the match on Sunday had a sense of humour and played this for the laugh as the rain continued to pour down. I’d imagine the truth is a more boring, though.

The same fella who played Raindrops keep falling on my head at half time?
