Is âThe Boxerâ any good, folksâŚBale, Adams & Walburg, a fine cast, is it worth me giving up a few hours of my life to watch
The Boxer is shite Puke, have heard good things about The Fighter though.
Indeed the fighter is a top notch movie
The Irish Americans look like a real collection of muldoons, great casting
Just watched The Fighter there. Thought it was poor.
Sisters were funny enough and I suppose some of the drama around the family was decent but the fight scenes were shite I thought. The whole Neary fight was weirdly done. Just didnât like it and surprised by all the attention itâs getting.
That was a real documentary they were making during it. You can see it at:

Saw it last night too-very poor alright. The fighting scenes were very unrealistic. Bale and the mother was good, everyone else was mediocre.
Just looking at this here on RTE website.
I see âClash Of The Ashâ listed half way down.
Anybody got a copy of that?
Ah, itâs on YouTubeâŚ
âHustleâ on netflix is a lovely sports movie. The best basketball film s8nce âTeenwolfâ
Just watched this on Netflix
Sandler is good in it, you know itâs a Basketball Rocky but it still hits the right notes.
LeBron deserves a mention too as a Producer. The quality of game play is class tbf
Have you seen Hoosiers* with Gene Hackman?
- it was called Best Shot when I saw it.
Itâs excellent.
Itâs like the Tipp hurlers Harry. It doesnât play from the start.
Itâs a screenshot
Of what?
A wonderful memory.
That shot scrolled up across so many Videos I rented from Xtravision as a young chap.
Be the holyâŚâŚ
Or the Videoman pulling up to the house with the full catalog for weekly rent in the boot of his Cortina.
Hoosiers/Best shot is incredible, one of the best,
Bull Durham is a great movie,
I love Major league and Tin Cup
Think we got first VHS in 1991. My earliest memory film wise was the Naked Gun film, it was fucking hilarious to us.
Xtravision was the place to be, youâd hang out there, spend fucking ages going through the rows trying to decide what youâd pick.
Then came the Video games and another row to go through.
