Fucking hell. How much had you put down for that?

not sure I mentioned it here before but I won approx. €13,700 on a €25 accum. last year…

25€ e/w * on Sublimity @50-1 when he won the champion hurdle. A pittance compared to what some of you lot are at.

*Rocko and one of my brothers were part of this.

I had three legs up on a lucky 15 a few years ago and the fourth horse was beaten into second by less than a length. Fran Berry rode the horse and it was a big meeting in the UK, possibly at Epsom or Newmarket. Cirrus De Aigles at 10/1 was the first leg of the lucky15, i also had a Tommy Stack horse winning at Cork and some NH winner. I was let down for about 40k but got a grand out of it anyway. That was the closest i got to a big pot. Other than that the biggest win was about 2k, only small fry.

Won around €1,600 or so on the third Test between India and South Africa in 2009. India were 1-0 down in the series, and word had got out that the groundsman had prepared a rank turner. The Betfair market didn’t react hugely to this, and the draw was still trading close to 2/1. Layed it, and won big.

Heard of a bet yesterday at the match, some young lad in east galway has a 200euro accum on bayern, germany, kilkenny and donegal, he put it on this time last year. Return is circa 160k supposedly. His neighbours are on about putting up donegal flags if it gets that far (kk flags now i suppose) . As an aside i was telling one of his neighbours hed want to hedge it for all he could afford. Whos take a bet of say 30 thousand on an all ireland final?

He Prob took early season 33s and 25s so Prob couple hundred

Hit two superfectas in the same afternoon at Santa Anita about 20 years ago. Total pay out about $15.5k.
Still have it under the mattress along with the communion money.

Hurricane Fly’s 1st Champion Hurdle upwards of 4k. Made a killing on Long Run that year too and was up over 6k on the festival. Used a chunk of it to go to the Cheltenham the year after and proceeded to have my worst festival ever.

Had a share of a horse that we bought for 15k, made a few quid on, and sold nine months later for150k. Lost all that and more on the following three and packed it in.

What was the horse flatty? Won a bumper i take it ?

that’s a clamping

I had 50 ew dbl on Fingal Bay and More of That in the centaur at ladbrokes this year. Just shy of 3.5 k stg back. Have won more once prev but that was purely an accident. This was v satisfying!

FP confidence played a big part in the MOT selection!

Funnily enough it was a flat horse we changed trainers and ran over hurdles. Won or placed in two or three on the trot. Bought by a construction magnate.
