Disgraceful behaviour and damaging to Irish charities like our own. It is an extremely tough fundraising environment at the moment particularly for smaller charities working in the developing world. Scandals like this only perpetuate challenges when need is at its greatest.

Itâs our duty to help those who need it most, if that means we occasionally put our trust into absolute rogues then so be it.
Donât be quitting on third world charity because of shit like this, talk about an overreaction.

Fraud is one thing and hard to stop but fraud over years and years should be spotted after the second or at a stretch third audit

Yes. For the most part, we (in the âwestern worldâ) have it incredibly well. This wouldnât stop me firing money to the developing world. Ray and the lads are my official charity of choice now.
