Really shit fight. Kenny Bayless did a terrible job. Maidana’s only chance was on the inside and Mayweather held him every single time he was cornered. Not only did Bayless not take points away, he didn’t even warn Floyd once over the course of the fight, and he then took a point away from Maidana having given him no prior warnings at all.
Last night was a reminder of why Mayweather had to become such a villain outside the ring to be a draw. An ugly, boring mess of a fight.
Very disappointing. Only good thing was Mayweather giving an indication he might fight Pacquiao…

Artur Beterbiev beat the fuck out of Tavoris Cloud last night. Knocked him down three times in the first before finishing him in the second. Just his sixth fight too. Yet another Russian killer on the scene.

Word is he’s been lined up to face Matt Korobov for the vacant WBO belt. Was supposed to be Billy Joe Saunders initially but it looks like his fight with Eubank Jr is back on track.
WBO president confirmed on twitter that Warren and Top Rank have requested Lee-Korobov instead so it’s a matter of them confirming it. Probably be in Vegas sometime in December if it happens.

Korobov was a great amateur, won gold at the 2007 world championships as part of an excellent Russian team. He’s been underwhelming as a pro, but Lee has looked absolutely terrible for a couple of years now. Ever since Steward passed away really. It’s a winnable fight, but I wouldn’t be picking Lee on current form.
Lee lacks real power at the top level. A very good technical fighter but I would be surprised if he was good enough to win a title. Would like to see him do it though, comes across as an alright sort
