Jezza offers the olive branch

Boris pauses the process. Pompous Scottish git up mow.

Boris ‘We must accelerate preperations for a no deal outcome’’
Backtrack ‘‘We will leave with this deal that has just been voted for by the house’’
All down to the EU now

The EU should give them a two year extension for the craic

Boris wants to take his ball home now but he will be sent back out to play.

Ken Clarke reckons they just need three or four days extra.

He needs to forget 31 October now.

I am waiting to see how he dismounts that horse.

It will be 10 days or 6 months

I see what you did there.

He thinks he’s Superman but dismounts a horse like Christopher Reeve

A lengthier extension actually suits them from a negotiating position. I don’t subscribe to the view that Spain will come back for bits and pieces, they have enough problems themselves.

Triggering Article 50 like they did will go down as one of the dumbest negotiating moves of all time.

Can it be extended forever? Like is there a point to prolonging this?

Think Tusk said something tonight about 31 January 2020.

Not a chance.

Flextension. A GE is inevitable now once the EU grants the extenxion. Thing is elections are usually held in May, no one will come out and vote in November

I know

I was being facetious, which is why I said, for the craic

What I’m not facetious about is that the bottom line is that Johnson tried to subvert democracy tonight by bouncing through a bill that nobody has read

He failed, and he is a disgrace

I can’t see the opposition agreeing to a GE at any stage. If it’s fought on the “People v Parliament” agenda the Tories will win. They’ll keep Boris in a cage for as long as they can.
