whats the major downsides to leaving? the uk should have no difficulty setting up individual trade agreements with each country when the dust settles, can bring in all the skilled migrants they need, have full control over own governance, wont be strong armed into repaying german bondholders for the āgreater goodā
I doubt wales will ever cut the apron strings to england, scotland might but will go with whoever promises the bigger handouts, london or brussels. if scotland goes at least irish reunification will be a matter of when not if.
Iām delighted this undemocratic union of scumbag bureaucrats have been caught on the hop for this. They didānt see it comingā¦Iām delighted itās great news.
The Sterling will recover and itāll be the Euro thatāll suffer guaranteed.
The Brits wont be allowed agreements with any EU state, unless they agree to certain rules, like pump pounds into less well off countries like they currently do , theyll be fucked up the ass and good enough for them. the empire is cracking down the middle its great to see
yes, but the block will definitely want to trade with the UK. and the UK can sell its soul to china, the US or whoever else it wants on its own terms. A bit of talk in the papers here about a new open borders agreement between the UK, Canada, Oz and New Zealand, not that thats going to set the world on fire.
Of course they will but itāll be at a price. Free trade will mean free movement of people, Isnāt that why all the old age xenphobic pensioners voted to leave in the first place.
the UK needs immigrants as does any country to maintain growth, it wonāt be free movement it will just be better regulated, skilled and unskilled as required. Iād say the primary reason the pensioners voted leave was to, they believed, protect and fund the NHS which they as a group acutely need, only for farage to bizarrely admit was just a scare tactic hours after the polls closed.
