Be careful, it’s most likely a dead cat bounce. There’s a bit of irrational exuberance in the US as well, based on Q1 GDP being raised to a whopping 1.1%. Never mind that half of the increase is increased premiums for Obamacare.
There is some logic to the FTSE doing better than its EU peers. A weaker sterling is good for UK exports.
