But there is no other option on the border. There is no way the EU will allow an open border with a country they have no trading agreement with.

a lot of brits I meet are blaming paddy for this, paddy needs to thread carefully here, Remember, no flour, sugar or bog roll is produced in the free state. The UK is out biggest trading partner and has always been a friend to us. If he thinks the guff about the EU backing the irish is true, he’d want to think again

If we had burned the bond holders as advocated by the lefties anarchists etc they would have shafted us no doubt. They have our back and in any case there will be a soft brexit if any at all.
