BREXIT thread

Dunno about the anti semite bit, and the russian backed propaganda only polished up the turd that was festering in slightly over half of the pricks. Theyll be mostly dead soon, and no loss.
The best thing the EU can possibly do for all concerned is to bend not one inch, see how it plays out. If its a hard brexit, gallic shrug, and try to be nice when a less bitter and entitled generation of brits ask for readmission

Made in the EU.

They don’t. How can you expect them to negotiate trade deals when they have no experience of it, the EU has been doing for them.

That’s a new one to me.

Looks like every knacker in the country shows up and just boxes the heads of each other?

The game’s gone man.

Britain has been going downhill steadily since 1918. One reason is they sacrificed a lot of their best and brightest in WWI, the officer class proportionality took far more casualties than regular soldiers. Eton for example lost 1,000 former pupils, 20% of those who served.

I was at a do at my lads school in the main hall and was bored enough to try and count the names of those from the school who died in ww1. There were over 600. It is sobering enough if you think of it.

That is nothing short of superb.

Alan Clark’s book on the history of the Conservative Party in the 20th century was very good on this point and painted intervention the two wars as a catastrophe for Britain, especially the First World War where whole towns and villages of young men were wiped out.

The real problem was WW 1 and the British officer classes weren’t properly trained / qualified for modern war . Their general were educated in classics etc while the Germans were educated in engineering , sciences etc.

Whole towns and villages of young men were wiped out in Germany too. They didn’t do too badly post World War II.

Must’ve been very sobering for the Brits to experience this after centuries of delivering this horrifying vista upon many nations.

It took the Marshall plan and 20 years for the Germans to recover from WWII.

America rebuilt Germany, yet another act of greatness
