If UK Attorney General Geoffrey Cox approves this, Ireland has to veto it.

Even if it probably won’t pass the House of Commons anyway.

True I suppose. They’d rather wallow in cowardice

The puss on May

Ireland backing the new/old deal according to Juncker.

Did we win lads?

Leo drops in a nice “Remains of the Day” reference there

What’s the latest agreement?

The exact same as the last one

Cox will say that the changes are legally binding I assume. And that will get enough Brexiteers in to a happy space.

He won’t say that while the changes are legally binding they are largely meaningless.

Essentially the Brits have been offered an up to date version of the Boundary Commission

Basically the same as the last one but the Brits get a clause to say if they are not happy with the EU withdrawal process they can pull the backstop but also that they will uphold all the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.

It says that if an arbitration panel determine that the EU are acting in bad faith in relation to talks to remove the backstop the. The UK can temporarily suspend the back stop until that panel determine that the EU are acting in good faith again.
