BREXIT thread

People are voting for FF again and it’s only 10 years since they wrecked the country.

It will take longer than 3 years for the effects of Brexit to be seen. There will be years of almost imperceptible decline in which there will also be the odd peak, allowing Brexiters to proclaim that the whole thing was a success. But over 50 years it will be seen to have been a poor decision. Indicators will be when India overtakes Britain as the fifth largest economy in the world and then France overtake them.

Yeah that’s a fair point Fagan.

India is going to be a better place to live than Britain in 50 years time now? Lads from Leeds will be saving up to move to Delhi to open up chippys on London St. And get free healthcare, schools etc. Jaysis Brexit really has driven some micks over the edge.

We discussed this many months back.

You will recognise it when call centres are outsourced from bangalore to bradford and from hyderabad to Huddersfield.

It’s all voice recognition software now pal.

And a rupee is worth a tenner sterling

India has almost caught up with the UK in terms of the size of their economy already.

There’s awful anti Irish stuff going here at the moment

Ah would you ever come home out of it, mate. It’s only going to get worse.

Its like the 1970s and 1980s when the troubles were bad. The Irish are being targeted

Mind yourself on the park runs.

I keep to myself. You’d get a hiding fast enough if a Irish accent was heard in the wrong place

Size of economy in this instance is not related to quality of living. Try being a dole merchant asking for your council house in Mumbai and see how you get on.
