BREXIT thread

Another Trump tactic.

This is like the time you insisted the backstop was an Irish idea

All true but Eire doesn’t give a sh1te about the North either, never has. This whole tactic of invoking the GFA was something Varadkar used to brown nose his Masters to impress them. Look lads I have found a way we can punish the Brits for having the temerity to leave our little club.

The fact its more than that is probably a good indicator of why they left, and good for them. Its the same reason Italy, Hungary and others will probably follow suit. I only wish we had the balls to even talk about it in Ireland

Gemma O’Doherty is talking about it.

Did I? I don’t recall, what I meant its now an Irish insistence. It was May’s idea and it was rejected by her parliament which meant we should have found another accomodation.

What accommodation would you suggest?

That’s neither here nor there. You said it shouldn’t be difficult to leave a trade organization. The fact is that it is much more than that and that’s why it’s difficult. Leaving the EU has always been more difficult than the slogans suggested.

I meant serious people. Thats the level of discourse in Ireland sadly, show me who is for something and I’ll tell you how a I feel about it. And we laugh at the Brits and their broken politics.

We???

Yes we or are we not a sovereign country anymore?

A British made problem and we should be solving it?

The UK will still have the North Western approach between Ulster and Scotland to bring in “the means of life”

@anon7035031 levels of digging a hole for himself here :grinning:

A ham.

i realise that, it will turn “no, i love it more” to " no, you love it more" in the blink of an eye

How can we talk about serious people when the UK Government agreed a backstop. Boris Johnson said he supported the concept in December 2017 because it was a “convenient fiction”.

In reality he didn’t care until he heard the Hard Brexiteers made it the issue for them. Even after all of that though he eventually voted for the WA when he thought it would pass finally and he could get into office.

This is not a serious person. This is a person who lies constantly and even admits to it:

We should be doing what we can focusing on the natural resources we have, like the Scandinavian countries. Wind and Tidal.

Instead we have towns around the country that would go belly up if one US company killed out or if exports to another country like the UK suddenly drop.

Stupidity in the extreme.

Bullet point:

Vast amounts of #MAGA troll and bot accounts are retweeting Boris Johnson

Grant Shapps the UK Transport secretary quoted in this article is a cousin of Mick Jones of the Clash. One for the things I learned today thread.
