BREXIT thread

You’re a fucking lawyer?

Boris has just said that if the Scottish decision isn’t overturned by he UK supreme Court, then he will appeal to the European Court of Justice.

You literally couldn’t make it up.

Bloody hell. Coining it in.

I find the average Brit thick as bottled pigshite, it is amazing they are sucked in by the likes of Rees Moog, he’s basically laughing up at his sleeve at the general public, he can barely keep the smirk off his face in interviews. It is fascinating to watch, the power of the media and social media is very interesting

I haven’t seen where he said this today.

Can you provide a link please?

It’s a bet. Anyone could make that bet.

It has to be said on a daily basis…but the brits are as thick as mince. Absolutely fucking stupid race of people. They drink shit beer, they eat rancid grub and the most of them are massively racist.

Great lads to fight a meaningless war though.

The exact same type of shit is going on in the US and elsewhere no doubt

Trump runs his presidency as a massive cash cow

Right wing crypto-fascists everywhere are united by their love for obtaining vast amounts of money by underhand and illegal means

Farage must be dodgy as fuck, yet he’s almost never questioned about it and when he is, by C4 News, he bans them from interviewing anybody in his sham party

Happened here too. Noonan sold off all a heap of state assets at knockdown prices.

Redacted paragraph from Yellowhammer predicts fuel shortages.

Facing EU tariffs makes petrol exports to the EU uncompetitive. Industry had plans to mitigate the impact on refinery margins and profitability but UK Government policy to set petrol import tariffs at 0% inadvertently undermines these plans."

“This leads to significant financial losses and announcement of two refinery closures (and transition to import terminals) and direct job losses (about 2000).
Resulting strike action at refineries would lead to disruptions to fuel availability for 1-2 weeks in the regions directly supplied by the refineries.” (3/3)

The Brexit cultists won’t change their minds for anything. They’ve been conditioned for a “clean Brexit” and anything else is surrender.

When Eire got its independence we had no coal for ages. These things come at a short term cost. I’m sure there were many saying we can’t do it like the Redmonites on here

Of course there’s an argument that for greater sovereignty you sacrifice economic benefits. However, that’s not the argument that’s been made by Brexiteer after delusional Brexiteer. They’re arguing, and won the referendum on, the falsehood that Brexit will mean equal or better economic benefit. This is categorically false by any objective measure.

By not addressing this trade-off they’ve made your point moot

Brexit was about retaining curved bananas … all this talk about the economy is merely an after thought.
