He did indeed

And promptly installed his son Garry as CEO

It didn’t go well

In August 2008 he criticised club captain Richard Dunne, who the fans had voted player of the year for the previous four seasons,[4] saying “China and India are gagging for football content to watch and we’re going to tell them that City is their content. We need a superstar to get through that door. Richard Dunne doesn’t roll off the tongue in Beijing”.

He also said of Thaksin, “Is he a nice guy? Yes. Is he a great guy to play golf with? Yes. Has he got the finances to run a club? Yes…Whether he’s guilty of something over there, I can’t worry too much about…Morally, I feel comfortable in this environment”

He made a gaffe by welcoming Uwe Rösler to the Manchester United Hall of Fame instead of the Manchester City Hall of Fame , and was booed by Manchester City fans. He wrote apology letters to 70 Manchester City supporters’ clubs.[8]

In September 2011, Cook offered his resignation after insensitive email allegations towards a player’s mother. The Manchester City board believed there was evidence to back the allegations and accepted his resignation on 9 September 2011. Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak thanked Cook for his efforts in transforming the club’s infrastructure and direction.[9]

The Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook has resigned his position at the club in the wake of allegations he sent an email to Nedum Onuoha’s mother, Dr Anthonia Onuoha, who has cancer, ridiculing her illness. Cook initially denied sending the email, which was supposed to be going to City’s director of football, Brian Marwood, and claimed his email account had been hacked into. He also claimed the culprit had been dealt with.

However, after an investigation by Manchester City into the claims, they have confirmed “there is foundation to Dr Onuoha’s allegations”. As a result, the club have accepted Cook’s resignation who has now admitted to an “error of judgment”.

…and farmers… and car manufacturers…don’t forget them in your clamber for wokeness

I didn’t think you could possibly get any more stupid but you seem determined to prove me wrong

we’ll have a major war in Western Europe within 25 years, I have been saying it all along. The seeds were sown with Brexit

Real people like women and/or ethnic minorities. You shoehorn the same nonsense into everything.
Ye mad eejit ye

Try and post in English or Irish rather than gibberish in future, le do thoil

And try not to let your obviously ironclad belief that hateful rhetoric against people who aren’t you should go unchallenged - and the paranoia that has built up inside you as a result of that, ruin your life

It’s clearly eating you up

Gosh

That’s me told

Well no, we won’t. And that’s the great achievement of the EU.
The brits are harmless now , they won’t be starting anything.

Nothing to see here, except the self styled “libertarian” freeze peach warriors at No Deal Brexit-loving Spiked Online threatening to sue the author of a tweet they straight up admit is a parody unless it’s taken down, and then throwing in a few charming knife emojis

If these simpletons didn’t exist somebody would have to invent them

What is it with Brexiteers and threats of violence

It would take the French to crash out with Marie LePen. So long as the French and Germans have an alliance there can be no war in Europe because no one can think of taking them on.

The age old mistake of accidentally sending an email to the person you’re bitching about. It can happen to anybody.
