BREXIT thread

Interviewing may is utterly pointless.
As stated previously, a traffic cone would have done an equally good job.

A traffic cone would be easier to remove though

Well there’s a nice scenario developing now. The Tory rebels haven’t got the numbers to oust The Prime Minister. She’s not going to walk. But she hasn’t got the numbers to get her deal through parliament. Not without a realignment along the way. We might see something like the formation of the National Liberals in 1931 which destroyed the Liberal Party for good.

She’s threatening to 'go back to the people '. That’ll rattle a few backbenchers and brexiteers.

A great bit of stuff. Imagine if he had been hosting the Oirish Presedential debates?

The expression “Tory whips” is one that often causes me a duality of thought.

Dont know why, but the music from Kraftwerk - Model - went through my head reading that…

That’s what she needs to say: “no deal is better than a bad deal but some Brexit is better than no Brexit. Freedom to achieve our freedom.”

100 odd years ago Paddy had the strategic vision to see this but John Bull can’t and will end up a servile nation.

What exactly is the Brexiteers play here? They oust May and want a hard Brexit without a referendum. But they don’t have the numbers to get a hard Brexit through parliament.

So then what? They decide to do the 2nd referendum after all? That’s probably Mogg’s plan I guess, didn’t he always want a 2nd referendum.

Leave means leave.

Jeremy Hunt or Sajid Javid will be the next PM.

The powers that be will never let a mussie rule britania.

May will cling on like a barnacle. I’d be very surprised if this goes against her. This is the erg getting twitchy trigger fingers. They’ve blinked.

May has played this brilliantly and delivered a curates egg which they really have no choice but to swallow.

If either side goes all in they could end up with nothing - no Brexit or a no deal Brexit.

Whoever posted that great insiders analysis of the next Tory leadership contest thanks a lot. I got Hunt at 10/1 after reading that.

She’s put down an awful two years. Getting flogged over in Europe then she arrives off the ferry in Dover for more flogging. Brexit has killed her.
