To whet the appetite for the start of this tour tomorrow:
Foxsport Australia’s take on the top ten lions moments …
BBC N.I news coverage just called them the ‘British’ Lions.
Wonderful stuff.

That is not the correct name of the team.
Loins thrive in heat, the Hong Kong humidity should pose little threat to the lads. They’ll front up.
Fantastic news that RTE will be broadcasting live radio commentary of every tour match, starting with this morning’s eagerly-anticipated opener against Barbarian FC in just over half an hour’s time.
I’m expecting the boys to get vocal home support from the Hong Kong natives, who no doubt still rue the day the Empire flag was taken down.
While June 1997 was a magnificent month for British sport, it was tempered somewhat by the loss of our Asian jewel in the Crown - less than three days after Jeremy Guscott scored that famous drop goal in Durban, in fact. It’s a loss we’ll never forget and hopefully one that will spur the boys on even more, not that they actually need any extra motivation.
Logistical nightmare!!!
Kick off delayed by 5 minutes due to the Lions being stuck in traffic

Very un British like, shame on the colony.
Would the ferocious British Lions not disembark the bus and walk to the stadium through the throngs of spectators. That would be one for the great rugby annals.
Was there an anthem played there? Sidney?
Fucking hell, Brits will be very lucky not to get a red here
Brits
Next Saracens get together should be fun
Farrell has shit the pot, what a disappointment for the British. Ironic that a strike from Brits could potentially scupper the Brits.
Those kind of traffic problems wouldn’t have happened if Hong Kong was still under the Governorship of Sir Chris Patten, rather than some famine-loving, socialist Chinaman dictator.
This is not some pub game played by toothless Irish simpletons. This is deadly serious, elite level sport.
As I’ve previously mentioned one the thread, the pinko, liberal PC brigade have stuck their meddling claws in, and disgracefully, God Save The Queen (or anything else) will not be played before any match.
Barbarian FC 8 British Loins 59
A superb opening performance from the British Loins and the Baa-Baas will be seething at how they were brushed aside. Mike Phillips more than justified Warren Gatland’s faith in him, and showed why he was my pick for captain with a two-try Man Of The Match performance. Alex Cuthbert made a real statement with two tries and he looks nailed on for the Margaret Thatcher Memorial Shirt in the test matches. Paul O’Connell did a good job in leading the side - he’ll be an excellent midweek captain in the tradition of his fellow Munster man Donal Lenihan (of Donal’s Donuts fame), and his try put the walnut on the top of a performance of creamy, chocolatey goodness from the boys.
Was driving today and stumbled across 2Fm’s coverage of this tripe. Michael Corcoran and Victor (Ubogu?) were commentating. Hilarious stuff. Ubogu was delighted that both teams were here to play rugby, which was ‘eh interesting’. Terrible stuff. Wardy chimed in with no wonder Farrell is nervous given the magnitude of the game. This was the Lions v The Barbarians after all.
