The Brits lost 2-3kilos a man in the heat yesterday. Wasters.
4 series win’s in 125 years, that quite a proud record our boys have. The 89 tour doesn’t seem to get much play in the press, I remember watching it on tv at the time, my first recollection of the British Lions. Found this great photo of the lads celebrating there when I went looking

Great photo and great memories. Rory Underwood, Dean Richards, Rob Andrew, Ieuan Evans and Brian Moore. Five legends of the British Lions. All five went onto be test starters again in New Zealand in 1993 and indeed Ieuan Evans played in the first test in South Africa in 1997 before injury ended his tour.
Ieuan Evans one of just a select club of 8 - Willie John McBride, Gordon Brown, Mervyn Davies, Ian McLauchlan, Gareth Edwards & JPR Williams (1971 & 74) and Jerry Guscott & Ieuan Evans (1989 & 97) to have played on test sides in two winning British Lions series.
Hopefully the Kearnivore’s career won’t be ended by this injury like the HotRod’s was.
That’s the kind of physical sacrifice that is expected of a British Loins tourist. It’s demanding, it’s punishing, it’s draining, but that’s the way it should be when you are involved in the most prestigious and storied event in the sport.
Sidney, in honour of Rob, would you consider changing your avatar from the carnivore to the Kearnivore?
I shan’t be doing so but I’ve already twatted my best wishes to Rob and I’d echo the thoughts of Stephen Jones on the matter:
“Lets pray the guy recovers 100% and no sub needed. Monumental player at his best.”
Is Goode not better than Foden. Was very impressive against us in the six nations. Attempts at humour on this thread are fairly tiresome at this stage
Goode is good, Foden is better
What attempts at humour? This is a serious discussion.
Absolutely magnificent stuff from the band “Ruck Stars” here and it really gets the blood pumping ahead of this morning’s opener in Australia. However the boys won’t have the voice of a thousand men, they’ll have the voice of forty thousand men who are travelling from the British Isles to support them. And that’s not even including the many other thousands of British Isles expats like TASE who’ll be going to matches as well. And of course, the boys will have the collective voice of tens of millions at home to draw strength from.
Sidney
Can i rely on you for updates on our important opening game on Australian soil?

I’ll be doing all I can for the cause. Saturday was big but this is where it really starts.
There was a chap at the Poland game last night wearing a Loins jersey. The whole of Europe is behind them.
As a Lions test veteran I’m all in here.
LIONS! LIONS! LIONS!
A repeat of 2001 in Perth would be spiffing.
Handicap started at 18 then moved to 30, 33, 39, 40, now 42.
Hammer this disrespectful geebags.
I think we’ll lay down a real marker this morning.
Prediction: Wistin Fawsss 6 Loins 82
Sexton not the kicker :o
What a kick in the stones for ol kicker.
Halfpenny is a better kicker. Its probably good news for Sexton.
Try Sexton.
