Good defence by Zeebs on that last play and a satisfactory outing for the boys overall.
Stay tuned for my second weekly revised Test team.

It gutted me to hear them try give the turnover to AWJ, but then this is about more than just one man I guess, this is about the #seaofred
Cant wait for your Test Team Sid, but for me its
H-P
Northie
BOD
J-D
Cuthy
J-Sex
Mikey-P
Vuns
T-Youngsy
A-J
Paulie
AWJ
Crofty
Tipper
Slippy
Jonathan Davies and Justin Tipuric have probably both outshone BOD & Warburton on tour, but I don’t expect either to start. Reckon Gatland will select the following side for the first test (injury permitting)
Replacements:
Jonathan Davies
Owen Farrell
Ben Youngs
Alex Corbisiero
Richard Hibbard
Dan Cole
Richie Grey
Sean O’Brien or Justin Tipuric
Player ratings for today’s match:
Halfpenny - Flawless. Test 15 for certain.
Maitland - Dirt-tracker after today.
Davies - A superb performance all through and my MOTM. In pole position for 12 if Roberts is injured?
Roberts - Poor first half but stepped up until his injury, and combined beautifully in that try for Halfpenny early in the second half. Will be a massive loss if he is out. He is a BIG GAME PLAYER.
Zebo - Great first half but not as involved in the second half. I woyld have liked to have seen how he’d fare on the right as North has 11 nailed down.
Sexton - Test 10 by a distance
Phillips - average enough although will still get the nod for the Test. Youngs pushing hard though.
Heaslip - Average enough, improved tpwards the end when the game opened up but Faletau may still have a chance after today.
Warburton - Good tackle count from the captain but awful in defence for Carter’s second try. Does a lot of unseen dirty work but Tipuric is in better form. Sky’s over-selling of his performance stuck in the craw a bit. Warbs will start however.
Croft - BIG GAME PLAYER. Gives good lineout back-up and great in carrying as always. But Sean O’Brien will be so unlucky to miss out if Crofty gets the nod.
O’Connell - In superb form. His force of personality is shining through on and off the pitch.
Wyn-Jones - Did enough to secure his Test spot but Parling has done nothing wrong and can count himself unlucky.
Jones - Test starter for sure.
Youngs - Very impressive throwing in the line-out, in general play and in his tackle count. Has moved ahead of Hibbard.
Vunipola - Excellent in the loose again. Don’t think Corbs did enough to move ahead of him when he came on.
Subs:
Farrell mixed the good with the bad when he came on but Sexton runs the backline so much better.
Hibbard has fallen behind Youngs and the Loins only lost a lineout when he came on.
My revised Test team (and substitutes) as of 15/6/13:
15. Halfpenny
14. Zebo
13. O’Driscoll
12. Roberts (if fit, Davies if not)
11. North
10. Sexton
9. Phillips
Substitutes:
Kearney, Farrell, Youngs, Croft, Parling, Cole, Hibbard, Corbisiero
I expect Gatty to go with Croft, Warburton and Cuthbert instead of O’Brien, Tipuric and Zebo.
Is North def fit for next weekend? Zebo Will get in if not.
Anyone see video of him and Jackson. Some boy!
Jackson the star of this show though
Christian Wade has been called out, Zebedee moves closer to the Test Team it seems.

This made me really like Jackson.
Have you seen his version of the JCB song?
Yeah. That one made me hate Jackson. Redeems himself here!
Just checking.
Zeebs wasn’t even in Australia up to a few days ago and now he is “putting his hand up for selection” for the Test side. That is the very essence of the Loins.
You made a commitment to fuck off out of the rugby threads with your smart alecry last Sunday evening when you were delerious with excitement lad. Jog on!
I only wanted to wish Zeebs well on his Loins tour, Dan.
It just shows how farcical this so called sport is. Cork Con lads were slagging him off a couple of seasons ago and now he walks straight into the Lions team.
Who was slagging him a few years Choccie?
You admitted that this was foolish guff out of you last Sunday DK, even more foolish to keep it up now. Youl have some hernia from complaining about the LK bandwagon for the Munster final I’d say
Few lads I know, Cork Con supporters, they were making out he wouldn’t make it for Munster let alone Ireland. What changed in that short period?
The Loins are bigger than all of us, Dan. I’ll keep the Munster stuff to a minimum in future, as I said on Sunday. Might contribute occasionally but will cut down on it.
Might see you tomorrow week for a pint.
Nothing, just the lads you were talking to hadn’t a fucking breeze!
