British Loins Tour to Australia 2013 - Official Thread

One was a big player for the club himself up to a couple of years back but I’ll bow down to your superior knowledge.

It’s reminiscent of how Martin Corry was on holiday in the USA in 2001 but received an SOS due to an injury to Neil Back, and became a crucial member of the Test team. Zeebs could well have a key role to play yet. The physical toll the tour takes on the players means we can never predict the Test line-up with certainty, and that’s part of the beauty of a Loins tour.

That’s up her with “a fella in the pub”

I’m hugely looking froward to seeing how Wadey gets on. A real top of the ground player, a thoroughbred. He could have a similar impact to Zeebs. Who’s to say Django and Wadey won’t be the Test wings later in the series if there are more injury victims?

Any chance of a call up for D’Arce if Roberts is ruled out for the rest of the tour, Sidney?

Well the “big player” has shown himself up to be a complete retard then hasn’t he? Zebo is an international rugby sensation pal.

There was talk today of Brad Barritt getting the call and the Darce is injured anyway, isn’t he? Although I think he’s in Bali on honeymoon, not too far away, so you just never know.

Darcy is married a long time I think

I couldn’t give a fuck either way but it does show how relatively easy it is to make it in rugby football and that’s all I was really saying.

They’re taking a “second honeymoon” according to the Indo.

Or Johnno getting the SOS call in 1993 when Wade Dooley’s father sadly passed away and going straight into the test side for the 2nd test in Wellington.

Martin Corry as you’ve said in 2001 and Simon Easterby in 2005 another who didn’t make the initial squad but ended up starting the 2nd & 3rd test.

And from an Irish perspective of course, AJP Ward getting called out to South Africa in 1980 when Seamus Oliver Campbell and Gareth Davies were both ruled out of the first test in Cape Town, going straight into the test side and amassing a scoring record of 18 points for a British Lion in a test match.

Yeah it’s simple. Let us know how you get on.

Zebo is 6ft + his father and sister were international athletes. He has some attributes most ont have

CM,why are you surprised about Zebo making it in.Its beyond easy to make it in rugby,.you have to be pretty much a grade a gimp to play rugby and not be an international

Australias star player was a below average AFL player up to 5 weeks ago, he switched sports and now our nation are pinning are hopes on him

There’s hardly that much of a skills set involved in playing AFL. Jim Stynes & Tadhg Kennelly went out to Australia tried their hands at it and were among the top players in that so called sport in no time.

+1 AFL is a tards game yet he switched to union and is the best we have

Jim stynes was the hardest sportsman Ireland ever produced …fact…kennelly should not be even mentioned near him…

You’re obviously not that well acquainted with Will Genia, James Horwill or the sadly absent David Pocock, to name but three if you rate this Israel Falou as the star player in the Australian set up.

I believe there’s an Australian Rules thread to discuss that shite. You’ll find like minded characters on that I’m sure. This is a discussion thread about serious sporting matters namely the British Lions.

he was a massive bottler and was a loser

Kennelly was a winner
