The Lions brand losing a bit of its lustre with all these call ups.

Looks like Sean O’Brien misses out for first test… and tipuric.

What’s interesting is the back row of O’Brien, Tipuric and Faletau. That would suggest a test back row of Croft, Warburton and Heaslip.

The Lions should demolish Australia, I predict 3-0 and at least one hammering.

Rugby in Oz has dropped in standard significantly. The tactics if NSW and the comments from ex players and managers cries if looking for excuses early. They know their Goose is cooked. They still think this taunting thru the media works these days with professional sports people is bizarre. Their teams are not as well conditioned as it her teams, an their management methods are out dated across all sports. Sports psychology is not very well used in Oz, although I can see signs of it being used a little more frequently now. It’s significant that every Rugby Franchise bar one is being headed up in S&C by an Englishman. They seem to have identified an area of weakness. It’s probably how I got my job as I skipped the que in a big way, somewhat by luck, somewhat by being approved by a guy who does happen to know his shit.

When they do catch up though I expect another drive of Australian sporting success as their commitment to sport and their will to be the best is impressive.

I’m absolutely buzzing with this news. Fucking buzzing. What a story.

Reminiscent of Andy Nichol’s call up in 2001. He was on holidays in Australia at the time.

Simon Zebo - your time is now. 1st Test starter.

Not to mention Jose Maria Olazabal abandoning his corporate speaking gig when Monty needed an emergency vice-captain during the 2010 Ryder Cup.

Just 6 days to go now. The Lions in Brisbane for a test game will always evoke memories of the Battle of Ballymore in 1989.

Steve Collins was Ireland’s hardest sportsman scumpot get a grip

Shane Williams’ sensational re-emergence from obscurity is reminiscent of the great A.J.F. O’Reilly’s unexpected call up for the England-Ireland match at Twickenham in 1970, after seven years in the international wilderness.

Can’t believe this Roy Jones thing might happen. What a knob end

Robert Jones proving that the short ones are often the nastiest.

It’ll never happen Kevin its about 20yrs too late, anyways there’s no money in it and that’s what counts in this game
