Welcome to the club chief

How far behind the live broadcast is IPTV?

Have it with a while now, great service. Has its own section for sports now which is good.

My broadband deal was out and Eir were charging me €60 a month. Switched to Vodafone for €25 for the first 6 months and €45 for the next 6 months. 100mb speed. All done off Bonkers.

Ah, I see

I’m getting this Monday. No brainer really

What package did you have. I’m paying 54 a month with Eir and that includes 2 SIM cards with unlimited usage for the kids phones

Straight high speed bb. It was €40 a month but that expired.

I must remember that next year

How are you finding Imagine? Thinking of switching to them from Eir as not fully satisfied with Eir, they’ve made a balls of some of my bills overcharging me when they shouldn’t have. You were saying Imagine won’t put it in unless it reaches 30mb speeds, do you find yours has been consistently good and meeting this threshold as promised? Also do Imagine block IPTV subs or torrent sites do you know?

It’s grand, not great. It beats standard 5-10 mbps DSL (standard broadband packages) not nothing compared to efibre. If you’re getting 15-20 Mbps on Eir I wouldn’t move.

Not a wired test and not peak time. 10km from mast but have a clear line of sight to it

Have it ( siro) e40 never below 130+ MB download/ 29/31 MB upload, they’ll give it for e 40 with a bit of haggling

Whats realistically is difference between paying for 150 and 300mbs fibre broadband

No chance the 150 is available locally anyway so id say mid 70s max youd get. Is it a complete waste of money paying for any more than 150 in the circumstances

Anything over 40mbps is a waste

You wouldn’t notice the difference if you were just using it for normal stuff. If you were torrenting a load of stuff you’d see a difference alright.

Then you’re just left with a slow laptop riddled with viruses

Trying to get fibre broadband into house. Having a mare. The duct running into house is too small for fibre line and the existing copper phone line.

Need to either dig up about 2 metres of a channel incl footpath to replace the duct with a bigger one…or else…apparently you can pull the copper landline through completely to free up the space for thw fibre…catch being you will never have landline again (unless its through VOIP)

Q…any other downside to pulling out copper land line? We have never used it…just there to access broadband
