Broadband Provider

One big mate, you’d hide a few lads behind it.

Walking two miles to work in their bare feet with a sod of internet under their arm.

[quote=“KinvarasPassion, post:138, topic:17027”] The truth is working from home too much is a balls of a job and very isolating so having the likes of these options can help break the monotony.

True but even people working from home might not have that option to rock down to the local hot desking centre down the road once a week because a lot of people working from home may not be able to do it off a laptop only and may have heavy equipment, numerous screens making it unfeasible to uproot every now and then.

Makes a change from walking half a mile for a bucket of water

I was in one of these trendy shared office spaces in London recently. A hipsters paradise

Some of the more advanced hot desk centres would have large dual screen options etc but you’ll pay well for them.

This place in skibereen is hugely succesful. Few businesses located here as start ups and have expanded into bigger operations elsewhere in the town.

V popular with people with W cork summer homes who work remotely from here for parts of week.

They claim to have the fastest internet in Ireland in the centre

No surprise there, the Cark cunts.

There’s a place in Gorey too that does similar. It’s part funded by BOI and any start ups they support get free hot deskng for a year I think. Great idea. Fuck all use if you want to make whiskey though but sure you can’t have it all.

There’s one in Letterkenny at the LYIT as well.

Lads I’ve to sign up for a new tv/Broadband provider. Vodafone are way cheaper as per bonkers but reviews are shite. Anyone know anything about them?
Was with virgin before and they were good but they are pricier.
Anyone with sky, what is their broadband like? They have a good offer til end of July I think. Cc @Rocko @Copper_pipe @TreatyStones @Julio_Geordio @Horsebox
Thanks in advance

Would you not get an introductory offer off Virgin where it’s half price for first 6 months? Do your homework and threaten to leave when renewal comes up after 12 months and you’ll be on half price for another 6. Repeat ad nauseum.

Nope. Their intro offer is shit. Fuck all off. Checked it on bonkers. 79é per month moving to 95e per month after six.

What do you want re Tv channels? There’s one for €59 a month with 240mb broadband and 50 tv channels for 12 months. I was paying €49 a month for the last 6 months for 240mb broadband, 50+ tv channels with kids package and multi room. Back up to €100 this month but more than happy to average out at €75 especially when I have the broadband speeds for IPTV.

This is what i’m getting on bonkers

Bonkers not giving you the full story there unless you’ve filtered your preferences

Don’t mind about tv really. Want rte bbc etc but we don;t really watch that much. Biggest thing would be champions league. Liked the way virgin had all the europa league games on their weird channels this year. Want decent broadband for computer and netflix etc but we don’t even stream stuff.

Then it’s a no brainer. Go for the €59 intro offer on their site. 240mb should be plenty. The red house technicians are great. They’ll optimize your WiFi to ensure it has best speed (router location, channel selection etc and test everything) There might be hidden connection/modem fees that are bumping up the bonkers price but seems too big of a difference. Get on blower/chat to Virgin.
