Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has hit out at team-mate Thomas Muller calling him ‘disrespectful’.

The players came head-to-head during Saturday’s 3-1 away win at Werder Bremen in which Robben scored the equaliser as Bayern came from 1-0 down to move up to third in the Bundesliga - but are still 14 points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Robben grabbed Muller by the throat during the second half after the youngster had gesticulated to the Dutchman to not be so selfish with possession.

“I hate it when team-mates constantly raise their hands and complain,” said Robben.

“It is disrespectful. We are a team. We don’t need to do that. We have got to be role models and should not make such gesticulations.”

Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal was quick to play down the incident on the pitch.

"It is normal in Holland that we complain with one another and say what we need to, but it is another culture in Germany.

“We are now third in the table, which is where we wanted to be, so hopefully things will settle down now.”"

This thread is for this year MBB.

Bit of a scandal there alright. Muller apparently made gestures of frustration that Robben took offence at.

Holy shit, what was I looking at

Badly needed 3-0 win for Pauli at the weekend.

Not in TFK’s Bundesliga clique myself but a reminder that the Hamburg-St Pauli Derby has just started if anyone’s interested.

Bayern’s third goal tonight is one to look out for. Very much like Cassano’s goal for Milan last weekend. Great team goal.

Bit of a coup for Hamburg

Bundesliga club Hamburg have confirmed that Frank Arnesen will become their new director of sport from July.

Arnesen will join from Chelsea in the summer after agreeing a three-year contract with HSV.

His appointment was confirmed at a press conference in the city on Sunday.

“I am delighted that we have found this fantastic solution,” commented Hamburg’s chairman Ernst-Otto Rieckhoff. “Frank Arnesen has not only the aptitude that is very meaningful to us for our future thanks to his experience as a manager at top clubs in Europe, but in particular due to his focus on youth development.”

Arnesen fills a void in Hamburg which has never truly been occupied since Dietmar Beiersdorfer resigned just over 18 months ago.

Bastian Reinhardt was appointed in the summer, but has not really impressed club bosses and he will take on a lesser role from next season.

“Bastian deserves respect for his work and his loyalty in recent months,” added Rieckhoff. “I am glad we have managed to find a solution together with him which is right for everybody involved - for HSV and particularly for Bastian.”

Arnesen will bring Chelsea’s chief scout Lee Congerton with him in the summer and he will be employed as Hamburg’s technical director.

“I am honoured by HSV’s interest and the conviction shown to me by the people in charge of the club,” Arnesen said.

“HSV is a special club with a great tradition and fantastic conditions to work in. I am convinced that we will develop something huge with the energy we have got and with the right decisions.”

Arnesen gone from one hun team who play in blue to another. The way he walked out on the Yids showed him for what he really is, a money mad madman.

3 goals in the big game already a quarter of it gone.

Dortmund leading 1-2 in Munich.

3-1 now

Schalke have sacked Magath-I know they’re well down the Bundesliga but strange timing considering they’ve just qualified for the quarter finals of the Champions League

Dortmund have just gone one down at home against Hannover. Leverkusen are only drawing away at Kaiserslautern but the gap at the top of the table could be 3 points if Hannover hang on and Leverkusen can get a winner. Even Hannover would be in with a shout themselves then.
