Busted Flushes - The Joe Schmidt story 🐐

Just out of interest. Why?

He’s already bought it himself

A signed copy, “Hi Gil, lets remember the good times sweetheart, Love Joe”.

Its already stained with the tears of his betrayal.

the biggest tears are when dan realised that hed gone past the first quarter

He wrote it himself. There is less than zero chance of any real insights in it. He is a control freak so no chance he tells anything I dont already know

That seems to be Ruaidhri’s view. But with the journos I’d say there is also an element of if fellas start writing their own books and not using ghostwriters it’ll eat further into the pool of income available to journalists.

Do you promise?

In your case yes.

I’d say is more likely that they have been hugely frustrated for the last while with the level of control around media but they’ve kept schtum for fear of completely losing access. Now that Joe has gone they can express that a bit more.

except for scruffy thornley whos still in his thrall

They’re throwing Schmidt under the bus because he’s away now and it’s convenient. The Irish players were, and remain, world class.
