Called for jury duty

Thereā€™s 17 cases listed for that day. They hardly all require a jury ? I also know 3 of the listed defendants :grinning:

Most will end up pleading. Theoretically youā€™re meant to alert the judge to how you are conflicted if your name comes out of the hat for someone that you know. I imagine plenty of jurors just ignore that though.

I will 100% be telling the judge I am conflicted if called for any of those people. Those defendants would all know who I am and where I live.

And the others can find up by signing up to TFK and sending a PM to.the right sources.

That seems a wise course of action for your good self. What I was alluding to was the boys in the dock who might like to have a friendly face in the jury room.

Would this be applicable for Discrict Court cases also? I heard rumours that a neighbour of mine was caught with the devils dandruff a bit ago. Be nice to see if they have a day in court coming up

Donā€™t think they list District Court cases on the courts.ie website. Itā€™s the Circuit Court up.

No juries in District Court either.

Is that how you avoided it?

I did my duty many years ago.

Went in Tuesday at 10:30 , didnā€™t come out in the raffle and we were dismissed around 12, with the instruction to come back today. Returned today and we were told that the first case was likely to last the week so we were dismissed completely.

Iā€™d say approximately 30/35% of the people on the roll call werenā€™t present when called.

Ah shit, I was looking forward to the live updatesā€¦

If youā€™re a needy pathetic boring fuckwit without brains, breeding or imagination then reply with one of those little purple emojis
