He got sent off I think in that magnificent row we had with Tipperary in 1995 in Cork that cost Tipp the All Ireland that year. He was a very talented stick man but he was as lazy as fuck.

My abiding memory of the ‘89 Munster final was the waft of drink coming from the Waterford support and their hurlers complete lack of interest hurling and obsession with timbering Nicky English.
How much has Waterford’s lack of discipline cost them in terms of success over the years I wonder.
