Calling fellow Kilkenny backers

boys,

we did it today and shur we will have a few pints to celebrate but we struggled against a poor team

we were wasteful & sloppy so lets not be bullish, we haven’t played anyone decent yet

believe though as no team has our heart

Today was the worst thing that could hsppen for us. We’re through to an AI against one of the other crowd of cunts and we are wide open for a serious hammering against whichever one of them gets through. Getting bet in a semi is one thing, but in an AI against Tipp/Cork…, well that doesnt bare thinking about. Shur look, we’ll train away for the next month and go up and give it a good lash anyway.

Sure that’s all we can do mixer. What hope have we at all.

the more I think about it the more im dreading the final, shur we can only hope that the gga do a legia warsaw on it to save us the shame of losing in a few weeks

this is fairly despicable shit gents.

the idea that you fuckers don`t think ye are going to win the all ireland is sheer bollix but ye can see the curtain coming down and so ye are trying to have it both ways. If ye win this looks like smart arsery type wumming while if ye lose ye can pretend it was real.

Well done Inspector cluso

If you think this KK team has a chance of winning the AI based on todays performance you’re as crazy as that lunatic thats destroying yere hurling team.

You’re ghosting us muthafucka. I don’t care who you are back in the world, you give up our position one more time, I’ll bleed you. Real quiet, leave you here to die. Got that?

Great thread

Here, i thought you said tjere wouldnt be a drop of rain today? You’re no Ken Ring, thats for sure.

Future looking very bright for Kilkenny. Next 15 years could be almost as good as the 15 that have gone by. Proving the detractors who said Kilkenny would be nothing post Henry and Tommy era well and truly wrong. Both have been largely peripheral figures this year. This Kilkenny team is now backboned by Paul Murphy, Richie Hogan, TJ Reid & Colin Fennelly, all in their mid 20’s. These guys already have that crucial insight and know how as to what it takes and how to win in September. Throw in young guns like Joey Holden and Padraig Walsh, who could well have that insight and know how in four weeks time.

they really are the aristocrats of hurling

They used to talk about the Big 3 in hurling but such talk is long since redundant. There is only one superpower in hurling and that’s the way its been for a very long time. Going into the 1972 All Ireland final, Kilkenny had 17 titles amassed since the championship was first played for 85 years previously in 1887. The next 17 took just 40 years to amass when number 34 was brought up in 2012. Cork & Tipperary’s combined total of 14 from 1972 is actually 3 less than the 17 Kilkenny have won in that timeframe.

thanks for all the stats mate

Ah, yeah, 'tis great to be through to anudder final, I suppose.

shur, anything from here on is a bhonus, we didnt dhisgrace ourshelves

We’re not from Kerry, mate.

Well I kinda am…

Big 2 might be more realistic now, without looking it up would say Galway and Offaly have been more successful over the last 40 years.
Look up when helmets were invented and compare/contrast it to Tipps all ireland trajectory in similiar years.

Galway who haven’t won an All Ireland in 26 years more successful than Tipp. Fair enough
