If the parents know the child is talented enough to make it happen they’ll find a way.

I can absolutely 100% confirm that my 2 year old will be talented enough to make it. He can already kick with both feet (at different times), he can do a backheel, a stepover and he can kick it out of his hands and he can sort of solo the ball. He has the world at his feet, I just need to make sure he delivers on his unquestionable talent.

What about the practice of 13/14 year olds travelling from Limerick & Galway to train and play with a Dublin soccer club such as Joeys or Kevins? Minimum 2 trips a week for training and another at the weekend for a game.

The getting up early thing is a great way to install discipline and routine. The cornerstone of a winner. Duffer is on the ball here. They should be training at 5am every day

You need to make sure he dedicates himself to the sport from now on. Don’t let distractions like paw patrol and Bob the builder ruin his chance at stardom.

Be careful, my fella was the same at that age, and was also blessed with considerable pace. He subsequently found out he was Spiderman and hasn’t looked at a ball since.
Too much, too young.

No danger. He has only 4 interests and I don’t see them changing until he’s an adult:

• football
