What sort of salary would we envisage here lads?

About €250k? Ulster Council recently hired a new CEO with a reported salary of £100k and a company car.

You’d want at least that. It’s a very high profile and important role

Make sure you get in touch with Dela, pal. He can give you all the pointers you need.

It also makes you grateful for the modest salary the FAI plays Dela when amateur organisations are paying such sums to teachers and civil servants and the like.

Signing the same page of a binding legal document as Mr Delaney is undoubtedly one of the highlights of my career. I’m hoping to catch up with him in a well known Dublin private dining establishment soon and I’ll certainly tap into his fountain of knowledge whether it’s for this specific role or an alternative one.

Probably desirable but not essential and not in the job spec.
