Not a career change per se but got offered a role in the semi state sector which I’m going to accept.
Will be taking a bit of a pay cut but 26 days leave with the option of working up 13 more, along with an 11% pension contribution was too good to turn down. I was contracting up to now, which doesn’t entice you to take leave, so will be looking forward to many more days off.

Yeah I get the impression that many of the large financial services companies who depend on contractors will be scaling back on IT projects and enhancements on the short term as costs rise; low hanging fruit as they say.
