Lads any Volkswagen drivers here? Iā€™m in the UK and these lights are on, all amber. The first one far left is glow stick light I think, its flashing. The engine light is also amber. The third one is tire pressure Iā€™m not concerned about that, and the red light is fasten seatbelt. Also since glowstick light started flashing Iā€™ve lost a lot of power, car wonā€™t go over 70mph and takes a while build up to it. Iā€™m in Manchester and due to leave in 2hrs or so for ferry but its long drive and if its too risky Iā€™ll have to wait until I see a mechanic tomorrow. I canā€™t ascertain seriousness of these lights? cc @carryharry

The clock needs setting to the right time.

Iā€™m a volkswagen driver and those lights donā€™t come on for nothing.

Go back and see will be given you your money back quick.

Would you drive on those lights? The two amber ones I mentioned. Thereā€™s two lights harmless plus a light that indicates my rear brake light is gone but what i donā€™t like is the engine light on plus the flashing light. They are amber though and not red. Fella I rang said it seems to be glow plugs or sensors on the dpf. He said he will honour the cost of repairs I do at home. My worry is getting home (Manchester to Holyhead tonight - ferry to Dublin - drive to Limerick).

Drive away ta fuck. The Limerick way.

Thereā€™s a button in the glove box that gets rid of spurious lights like air pressure. The engine light and loss of power suggest the throttle assembly is failing, had it happen to a Jetta recently.

Was that a big job to do? Grand to drive for now anyway till I get home would you say?

If itā€™s the same problem safe to drive. Probably a sensor going in the throttle assembly. They would have to change out the whole assembly, not cheap but should be covered by factory warranty.

Seems to be that since its a diesel car thatā€™s not been driven any considerable distance in weeks that thereā€™s been a build up of soot and its going to be exhaust issue.

EGR Valve mate. Theyā€™re cunts. Youā€™ll pick one up secondhand without too much grief.

Are you seriously after buying it. I was messing.

The manual should be in top hidden section of glove box will tell you what the other lights are for. Fact they all came on together Iā€™d say probably electrical fault but how serious who the fuck knows

Read the manualšŸ˜‚
Surely youā€™re closer to where you bought it than Limerick? Drive it back and shove it up his hole.

What engine is in it?

The car sounds like it is in limp mode. Most likely to do with the exhaust system - dpf, egr, etc.

All potentially expensive or maybe just system needs to be reset.

He will in his fuck honour the costs. Iā€™d stay overnight & return the motor in the morning for my money back. Another flight could be the cheapest option.
No way should those lights have come on that quick.

Engine light could be a sensor, dpf filter or anything. Just getting a VW garage to plug in will be ā‚¬120 .

The heater light is the major worry.

The other light is the tyre pressure settings.
