It really depends on what you want from the car performance wise…

• if you are driving huge distances and like powerful response you need to think Diesel engine imo
• if your doing say 30,000km a year max then a VW Golf style car with a 1.0lt TSI petrol engine will suffice. Won’t set the world alight power wise but it will be cheap to run, tax & insure. And cleaner on the environment obviously

And finally, if you’re the kind of person who would chain smoke in a crèche, get a diesel. Otherwise petrol or electric.

Well I do about 500 miles a year in a car.
I could sell it and get an electric, but I figure that would in fact cost pollutants.
I go everywhere on foot, by bike or mostly motorbike, which returns 60 mpg on average.
I use the Adonis to go swimming on a Saturday morning if the weather is awful, or occasionally to work on a Tuesday if the weather is awful. I fill the tank about once every three months.

Over the flat bit again, but I was referring to the clear evidence surrounding the noxiousness of diesel fumes far beyond those of petrol. I specifically recommended a petrol if you read it slowly. Maybe you could read it to o dowd whilst you’re at it.
