I’m sorry pal. It was cuntish. Friends?
Lads I’m staying the night at my pals and bringing car back to your man in morning first thing. I rang him and he said he’d have mechanic look at it straight away and put it right. Inconveniences me as I’ve work tomorrow but its the best scenario. Note I got AA to do a comprehensive inspection on this vehicle and it came back clean as a whistle.
"“Note I got AA to do a comprehensive inspection on this vehicle and it came back clean as a whistle.”
Youd wanna get your money back off these cunts too pal
The Brits are ripping the piss out of poor Paddy over there.
You get ripped off far better on the mainland than you would at home
What did you get as a matter of interest?
Main dealer?
Any manufacturers warranty still on it? Nope, I’d imagine. I just notice there is a neat 100k miles on it …
Did the AA plug into the computer per chance when carrying out the inspection?
Hopefully you’ll gt it all sorted in the morning and be on your way.
2012 VW Passat TDi. Dont know if AA guy plugged into the computer. VW main dealer service history but bought off a garage. They have excellent reviews on internet and the bossman does seem like a decent bloke. 12 months warranty. Might just be unlucky to be fair and it might be a small issue(s). He promised me he will get it fixed and send me on my way happy. But boy does this inconvenience me on time/money/work/sleep.
Sounds like it was driven anyway and wasn’t tootling around to the shops all the time.
Those lights could mean lots of things.
If I was to bet, I’d imagine the sensor that measures the pressure difference across the DPF. Not a major issue.
Only a guess though.
I’d burn it out tonight and claim off the insurance. Only way to make sure you’ll get anything back. That lad will only laugh at you tomorrow.
Your man that sold me the car is called a Mr T. Tibbs.
Did anyone ever stay with this cunt when he offered to put them up?

2012 VW Passat TDi.
£4k. I’d say for that. The VRT is about €3k. @Smark’s been rolled here.
@Tournafulla_Man is wrecking the gaff with this news…
Update - I was at the dealership for 9am and we brought the car straight to an independent mechanic 10mins away who he sends his German make cars to. Apparently your man was booked up for two weeks but he’s slotted me in ASAP given the inconvenience to me and as a favor to the garage owner. Sounds like bullshit he’s booked up for two weeks but there were about eight cars parked up there awaiting a service and we’ve jumped the queue. He’s going to ring the mechanic at 10.30am for an update and then revert to me. Should be sorted soon I think and then I’ll get on the road straight to Holyhead for first ferry home. I was given a replacement car for the few hours while repairs ongoing and I’ve come into town where I am now in a cafe awaiting a full English traditional breakfast. Every cloud and all that.
Also, the car drove perfect this morning on the motorway to garage. He is 1hr from Manchester. The flash glow plugs light never came on once and power was returned. I went up to 90mph with no problem and could have gone further. Might have required a good blow out yesterday but anyhow I never mentioned that bit about it being fine this morning and will let them examine and repair it properly themselves. Much more optimistic today.
Paddy the Mick is getting mugged the fuck off here.
Why have you to be so cynical about everything? Typical Mick.
Breakfast is here. The lovely waitress informed me her “mum” is from Enniscorthy and asked was I here on holidays.
He rang me. Its the EGR valve, it needs a new one. Garage has ordered replacement but will take some time but he assures me will be ready by days end.
