Another good episode for me, great PR exercise for the GAA. A win for Down over Kildare.
ray had derek davis on this morning in the aftermath of it been shown on tv… and ray is still trying to figure out where it all went … suposidely the ref had to be escorted off the pitch after the game
I heard there was a big scrap in one of the games, not sure which one.
Twas a good show last night to be fair to them, really captured the differing aspects of the GAA and the influence the fortunes of a Club can have on its community.
A great coup for the GAA this series.

Agreed. The clubs this year seem even more up for it. I know several clubs in Cork refused it. Mine wasn’t asked, but i would be slow to do it. I just feel its a small bit cringy to be getting so emotional and gee’d up for a non championship competition.
Its good tv though.

Couldnt agree more with that sentiment. I’d be wary of going into it too for that and other reasons, but it is fantastic exposure once you dont make a show of yourself.
Ya, its all about getting the balance.
I thought the crowd in Down was especially a good representation of what the GAA is about. They look like its the whole world in that Parish.

I cant believe how good Davis is, his every utterance is gold, he’s cracking tv to be fair to the big man.
Thought the sending off last night was harsh, but it was a stupid wee clip.
The Down team were flyers, that corner forward looked a classy wee act.
Good friend of mine lives in Rathangan and was at the game. Said it was great for the town and that the bunting is still up.
Rathangan seem to always start the better in the 1st and 2nd halves but then faded away.

I go to a few different food events from time to time, mainly in Kinsale, but he is often the MC and is excellent, very nice guy and good craic at the bar as well.
No leitrim ( dromahaire) are playing the Tipp reps Easter Saturday
The Limerick club make the semi’s as well. I think it’s being filmed this weekend.
I heard that during the week alright…Is it on in Rhebogue or are they away runty?
I was told last night it was Rhebogue but wouldn’t take that for certain.
Was down in Kinsale years ago and I was going into the Greyhound for a scoop. Davis was in there, he literally filled the bar.
