Celebrity Deaths 2013

His reputation was somewhat soured by his association with the New York Jets offense and the Tebow shambles but still a good coach and never got the credit he deserved for his early work with the Dolphins.

I got a shock when I heard this.

RIP James

Everyone’s favourite tv character.

Shitty buzz. I’m watching the whole thing again on Sky Atlantic. He looks like his heart will go any moment in a lot of episodes. RIP.

I’m saddened by this news.

Big statement there CM.

That would be Joffry Lannister

Ffs sake. The nonsense coming out of you recently. Did you suffer a massive head trauma with the shock of limerick beating tipp?

Ah fuck this really is shit.

I always hoped they’d make a movie. Now we’ll never know what the ending was all about.

If only Fat Tony had ChocolateMice to help with his Diet & Nutrition needs, maybe just maybe he would be alive & well this morning. Oh well.

Who’s next?

I can’t focus on work right now. Having panic attacks that something is going to happen Jon Hamm.

One of my first thoughts too, really expected a film at some point but perhaps that is one saving grace of this sad sad news. Too young, tough on the family, a young child there too iirc. RIP.

Tony Soprano was a phenomenal character. It was an act of genius to cast Gandalfini in the role - it was an acting master class from start to finish.

I never agreed that there should have been a movie made. What made the format of the Sopranos work so well was the slow burning nature of the modern tv drama series. So what if we never really get a proper answer on how the series concluded - why do people need everything wrapped up for them and why can’t they use their own imagination? The show was never going to be about the final 30 seconds but rather 8 seasons of epic comic drama with amazingly layered and developed characters.

I must watch the final episode of season 2 again tonight in his memory. An absolute classic when he get food poisoning after eating in an Indian restaurant - while at the same time trying to organise ‘business’

RIP Jimmy Gandalfini.

It was more in jest, Farmer. The show was great, and his character was fantastic, one of the greatest, but for a finish other characters in the show were more fascinating. Don’t tell Art tho, he seems especially angry today.

Whatever your thoughts on him, you can’t deny the influence of the show. It was the first real character heavy show, which showed Hollywood and big names actors the in-depth nature of such shows and the appeal of being able to develop these characters as compared to a movie. For that, we should all salute Tony, the fat fuck.

By all accounts he was a nice guy too, I remember something about him holding out on signing his contract for additional series of the Sopranos until the other people working on the show got rises etc.

Some nice stories here from my local paper also:

Indeed. And a great supporter of our troops and a regular visitor to our forces at home and overseas.

I agree a movie didn’t need to be made and I have no beef with the ending. But who wouldn’t have liked some more Sopranos?

I don’t know how I’m going to get my head straight for our vital game tonight.

Simple, hire a fuck off truck, crank up the Alabama 3, spark up a fat one and get to work. Then go get some coke and some bitches to celebrate in the locker rooms afterwards.

No greater tribute could be paid.
