He did
he’d put the likes of Paul McGrath and George Best in the ha penny place, he drank 12 pints the morning of the 1974 world cup final
Sean Lock of 8 out of 10 cats fame RIP
RIP, a decent comedian
Only 57. Had he been ill?
RIP
I thought he was decent too.
He had the fucking bug.
Cancer I believe.
Used to love him on 8 out of 10 Cats. RIP
One of my favourite comedians. His comedy never felt forced like a lot of them.
Fuck it, very funny on the nightime Countdown.
Ah, jaysus, I liked him. Seemed to be on TV up to quite recently, although keeping track of what is and isn’t a repeat is tricky.
Very naturally funny. Excellent on the panel show format, where it is often too rehearsed.
Funnier on that than he was in his own standup IMO.
His voice seemed to have gone completely towards the end. Sounded like he had a throat issue
Lock is a terrible loss. One of the better comedians/tv panellists out there.
I meant to get around to watching 15 Storeys High after I saw it recommended on Charlie Brooker’s “Screenwipe” years ago. I never did. Alas.
Austin “Haddock” Mitchell, former MP for Grimsby and co-presenter of “Target” on Sky News with Norman Tebbitt circa 1990/1991, has died.
He was also the Yorkshire TV presenter who moderated the famous Clough-Revie debate in 1974.
With Countdown stalwart Sean Lock’s passing, it’s a sad day on the Calendar for Yorkshire television.
Sean Locke was class on 8 out of 10 Cats, very young, RIP
I find those TV panel comedy shows very tiresome.
