Celtic 2012/2013 season discussion thread

Excellent cross by Hooper and Forrest is denied by a last ditch block by Gary Irvine.

Kayal’s pressing is brainless.

Efe caught dribbling out of defence again but this time he got back to intervene.

This has been a very poor performance so far.

You’d have to think that if that chance fell to Stokes he would have buried it.

Watt is starting for the U20s in their cup match against Aberdeen this afternoon.
Lennon going with a striker who has failed to score in his last 5 starts and Anthony Watt isn’t even in the squad?

A fucking joke.
Watt is playing in the youths cup quarter final today. If he wasn’t going to play from the start, and that was never going to happen, then it’s probably preferable that he plays a full game at youths level instead of sitting on the bench for the first team.

Forrest has been shit, think McGeouch has improved after a poor opening to the game.

Great save by Forster after two very good Hooper efforts.

Harkins heads the resulting corner off the bar. We haven’t attacked defensive set pieces well so far.

Kayal is dogshit.

Rogne is painfully slow at times. Yellow card for a lunging tackle there.

Wanyama for Ambrose and it seems we’ve reverted to a back three. Unclear whether Ambrose was injured or not.

Rogne, Kayal, Ambrose and Forrest have all been terrible today.

Fairly poor display. 1-0 at half time.

Izaguirre, Ledley, the front two and maybe Kelvin Wilson have been decent enough. Not much happening for the rest.

Embarrassing standard of football on display here today. Won’t be tuning in for the second half.

Bullshit decision to disallow that.

Penalty and a red card now after Hooper was dragged down as he was about to tap in Forrest’s cross.

Forrest slots the penalty home. 2-0.

Stokes wide from a Forrest cut back. There should be a couple more goals for Celtic here now.

Very good goal. Nice passing movement before a quality diagonal ball from Stokes is headed home by McGeouch arriving in at the back post. 3-0.
