Scott Brown charged with “not acting in the best interests of association football” arising from Sunday’s win.
A bizarre invented charge to appease the huns who are upset that they lost the game and lost their cool.
Wasn’t sure what thread to put this in.
Celtic have signed 16 year old Australian Stefan Nicolic. I believe he’s just scored a hat trick for Celtic’s U18’s team.
I’ve seen this kid a number of times playing for Blacktown City and Western Sydney Wanderers in the National Premier League from U12’s as Fitzy Jnr played against him when at the Mariners academy.
He’s brilliant. He’s big, he’s very very fast and he only cares about one thing, scoring goals. He will not pass the ball to you, he will not break his arse running after lost causes. But play a ball into him and he’ll kick, punch, scratch, bite his way onto it to score. He’s a nightmare to play against and referee.
I can’t wait to see him against sevco, it’ll be a fucking bloodbath.
Sounds like a liability so.
We’ll see. The odds are against any 16 year old making it to the big show
Hopefully he does.
Celtic lost the youth cup final 3-2 to Sevco last night. Sevco are also on course to win the development / reserve league. Rodgers has left us in a mess.
Watched the Youths final last night, high standard game in which Sevco were slightly better. Dembele’s absolute Quality
Brown’s hearing which started at 10am has just ended. No word on the verdict yet.
95th minute goal for Celtic tonight to win the U20 Glasgow Cup 3-2 against Sevco.
Celtic have taken up the one year extension on Sinclair’s contract.
I know not everyone is convinced but I’m happy enough with this. It would be a different story if we had a proven record of replacing players and spending decent money. But given that’s unlikely, we’re better off having him around. Hopefully Arzani and Shved and Johnston (and maybe Weah) can all compete for that role with him anyway.
And hopefully Edouard will get to play more out wide if we have Griffiths back or Bayo starts playing or we spend the Dembélé money on another striker.
I’m irked by it.
He’s been a complete passenger this season bar two games against the Dons and his goals are inflated by pelanties and becoming a scorer of the third or fourth in a pumping.
He’s wilted against Sevco and become Tavernier’s bitch in recent games too.
Sell.
I understand that logic but what’s the point in selling him? The money won’t be spent on anyone else anyway.
Or at least sign him up and then sell him anyway. But I don’t think letting him leave on a free reflects his value. He might not be firing on all cylinders but there are inferior players with bigger transfer fees in the Championship.
I’m a chartered accountant, like you, and getting rid of him would improve our financial ratios. That’s motivation enough.
Seriously, he’s meant to be our top earner and he’s an ineffective sub. Just because there’s no guarantee the money saved would be spent wisely doesn’t make keeping an underperforming coward the right call.
PS, I’m okay if it is a case of signing him to sell him.
That’s a lot of hopefully.
+1
He is a coward, the English Salah.
Different versions of events doing the rounds this evening, but the upshot is Timo Weah has left Celtic.
He says on social media that Lennon felt it was best he leave now before Ibrox because he’s joining up with the USA U20 squad next week.
Some in the know types say the USA manager was happy to compromise on his departure date for the U20 WC so he could finish the season with Celtic and be available for the cup final, but Weah himself decided he’d join up on the official meet up date and not come back for club duty. Lennon then got the hump and told him to pack his belongings and head on now.
This is the type of situation Lennon will get involved with time and time again as manager.
Sadly I think he’s a cert for the job now.
