I just pray the board go for a Manager who has actually won trophies and not some experienced mid table merchant. Some serious pressure to deal with to get to 10.
My main concern with Lennon is he’s done nothing to really earn the job, the treble was an open goal ready to walk home to and he is desperate for the job as he knows he won’t come close to landing as big a job as it, he’s reliant on his status with fans to getting it. This makes him the perfect yes man for Lawwell to run all over.
You can see it in some of the moves he has made, he is desperate to renew Lustig and Izzy for next season, he has been bigging up the return of Griffiths, he has pretty much excluded all the loanees that won’t be here next season in Burke, Weah, Toljan and Benkovic. He is forward planning and I don’t think he would be doing this unless he was extremely confident of landing the job. I’m extremely worried he will get the job full time and he’s doing his best to demonstrate to Lawwell how he will be the least hassle free and economical person to get the job.

Valid points,need a proper / outside the family manager,no use being popular with the fans ie Lennon and then calving in Europe,we need a ruthless bastard with the board behind him to buy a few players
We need a manager who is a bigger personality than Lawwell and has the clout to go up against him.

I don’t see the problem here.
Weah picked the US matches over the cup final. I can see why he’d do that as a loanee and a young player who hasn’t been playing much (and who was appalling last week anyway).
There is absolutely no point in playing him in either of the other two matches then so he may as well leave now.

His stock seems to have plummeted big time in the last few years, 3 or 4 years back he was being linked with nearly every big job going.
A bit like Klopp, I think he is one of those managers who gets cut a lot of slack because he’s a big personality who can soothe some bad results and failure with his charisma.
On the contrary, he’s more enticing that most of the plausible links with the job.
No time for him. Seemed a nice chap but he seems to apply for every job these days and his record in club management is very poor.

Seems to be legit.
Hopefully the end of the Lee Congerton era, rather than the beginning of the new one.
There doesn’t seem to be a desire to sell Edouard anyway, just an acknowledgement there might be interest. I imagine he’s on a promise about not blocking moves like Dembele was.
