Yeah, I agree with @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy ’s post about him. Aside from Welsh not being particularly strong, fast or dominant in the air, his distribution isn’t great either. Not saying he’s shit or anything but he’s just looked average/okay so far. Maybe he’ll keep improving with all the games and turn into a Cannavaro or Puyol type.

He has looked better in recent games. I mean Duffy isn’t a great defender but he was so bad this season that you’d have to feel there was something going horribly wrong with the defence as a whole.
I wasn’t impressed with Welsh at all at the start, he’s like McManus without the heading ability, but he’s been part of a better organised defence now for a few weeks so maybe there’s something to him. With the overhaul this summer we’ll need him to be around as a squad player anyway.

How would he compare with Jack Hendry in terms of ability
Jack was asked to do too much when he played at Celtic and couldn’t cope. Also lost all confidence when he was being forced to advance with the ball and couldn’t figure it out. So his defending was crap then.
Welsh has been better than that. But may be more limited. He looked ropey when Lennon wanted him doing more on the ball. He’s been doing simple things last few weeks and he’s error free. That’s maybe not saying much but that’s the undoing of so many defenders (including Hendry and Duffy in their spells).
We have all been that bad on the liquor. I don’t know what he’s personal circumstances are but that’s horrible to have shared online regardless. The combination of Camera phones, social media and cunts is a curse

The four midfielders he mentioned in the article. Scott Brown wasn’t able to run this season and should have been told to fuck off and hang up his boots. Christie couldn’t pass and wasted play by shooting from miles out. Ntcham was a lazy cunt who strolled around the place after losing the ball - they should have cashed in on him years ago.
Armstrong was right to leave, you can only guess Celtic wanted to keep paying him peanuts.
McGinn is clearly the best Scottish midfielder about. He was Brown’s long term replacement.
A midfield of McGinn, McGregor and Turnbull would have us set for the forseeable future and it’s clearly evident that Brendan Rodgers wanted him badly when he was here and made no attempt to hide his interest and how highly he rated him.

Good to see Dembele back in the fold and scoring.
He’s a striker who we converted to left back at the start or the season and seems to be making good progress. He’s only a kid, I’m going to give him a sporting chance of making it.
Dembele has another year left on his contract, there had been talk he was out of contract in the summer. Hope he doesn’t decide to leave before he gets a chance under the new manager.
