It was epic on old firm day. Always made sure I was well away from the door though.
Not sure if Forrest is fit again. He could probably do with a game too. I’d continue with Juranovic and Ralston as the full backs but there’s some talk that Ralston has Covid so we might see Ralston switching back to the right.
I saw Clarke said he didn’t call him up due to medical issues so presumably it might be Covid related.
Right wingers can’t get covid?
Knee injury for Kyogo on international duty with Japan.
No official word yet from the club. Would like a bit or clarity soon…

Ironic Tyrone soup takers liking the videos.
Scales has played as a left wing-back for Shamrock Rovers and his arrival provides cover for Greg Taylor in that position with Boli Bolingoli seemingly out of the picture.
But versatility has been something Postecoglou appears keen to prioritise in his new signings and Scales can also function as a centre-half.
"I’m comfortable in both positions, probably just as comfortable as each other.
"I’ve played left wing-back, I’ve played in a back three, and I’ve played both left-back and centre-back in a back four.
"I suppose I love playing centre-back and that’s probably my most natural position.
"But after being thrown out left wing-back at Shamrock Rovers for injuries, and I’ve played there for Ireland Under-21s and at club level, I think I can do both equally as well.
“I’m more naturally a centre-half but I’ve adapted to do both.”
Bad news on Kyogo. Looks set to be out for at least a month with a knee injury.
For the weekened I’d go with something along the lines of:
------------------------------------Hart
Ralston*--------------Welsh---------Starfelt---------Taylor*
(Juranovic)-------------------------------------------(Montgomery)
------------------------McCarthy*-------McGregor
-------------------------(Soro)
----------------------------------Turnbull
Forrest/Abada------------------------------------------------Jota
----------------------------------Ajeti
Big opportunity for Ajeti if Ange trusts him
The * players are fitness permitting
Talk in the papers is a month out. Think we’ve 7 games in that period.
Is Johnston back in contention?
Huge chance for Ajeti. Giakoumakis would not have trained much so if he is chosen before Ajeti in this situation you’d imagine he has no real future under Ange.
I believe Johnston is back but presumably he isn’t really in line to start. Forrest should be back too.
Yeah hard to see past Ajeti starting. Big (and maybe last) opportunity to make an impression.
Giakoumakis will have had two weeks training done and Ange isn’t afraid to throw lads in early as we have seen with Abada, Kyogo, Starfelt and Juranovic.
But clearly Ajeti is the guy who is best placed to start and if he doesn’t I think it tells you all need to know about his future.
Yeah. I think he was slightly injured when he signed (or at least I saw it mentioned) so not sure he did a full two weeks of full training.
Regardless Ajeti should have been convincing enough to get the place. And if he doesn’t start then he’s doomed alright. But he was even captain in pre season so maybe Ange just had him behind the others but hasn’t been unhappy with him.
I think it was the St Mirren game where he came on with about 10-15 minutes to go and he looked really hungry and sharp. I know it’s a short window but I think he deserves a go here before we give up on him
Obviously with Kyogo banging them in and Eddy there too, along with the fact Ajeti is not flexible in a front 3 (he has to play through the middle), it mean this chances were limited.
Before my time (cc @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy ) but today marks the 36th anniversary of Jock Stein’s passing.
Ajeti’s lost a lot of weight. Seems to be an expectation he’ll start tomorrow alright.
Ange said 3-4 weeks out for Kyogo so I’d say he’s done for September.
