The key word is “relative “ . He has been a decent signing for Southampton and relatively good value .

Scored 5 goals from midfield in 30 appearances in the League for the Saints last season. Not bad going overall.

Makes the 5 goals look very impressive so. Far batter stats than that Hojbjerg fella Spurs have signed. Albeit Armstrong is a more attack minded midfielder.
Hojberg is a holding midfielder. Armstrong plays off the striker or up in a three.
Hence I acknowledged he’s more attacking. Anyway my original point was that I think Edouard and indeed Dembele before him would be good additions for Premier League sides.

I remember reading somewhere that Edouard was in French underage teams ahead of Mbappe. Definitely has a bit about him. Dembele has since gone on to perform well in the Champions League with Lyon.
He got a start in a youth game ahead of mbappe. Jesus sign him up.
Dembele has never scored more than 20 league goals in a season. Is a bit of a sick note and isn’t a main stay in the Lyon team.
Playing in the SPL is in no way a barometer for doing well in a more competitive league

Edouard is probably very good I’d say. Looks a really strong athlete with real pace who could play up on his own, a prerequisite these days.
The Liverpool left-back Robertson started up there as well.
Lot of very good players in the Scottish national team at the minute, we seem to be producing good young forwards now though.
